Paraguay by its geographic situation needs to be related unfailingly to the neighboring countries. The transport by cart is fundamental for the economic development. The Agreement on Transport the Terrestrial International, ATIT, internalizado in the country, by means of Law N° 1128/97, is the “ABC” of the international transport.

The agreement looks for to facilitate the increase of the commerce, tourism and culture between the countries, in the transport of goods and people, allowing who vehicles and conductors of a country circulate surely, and tries that the border proceedings are simplified in the territories of the Member States. Paraguay has bilateral agreements with the signatory countries of the ATIT.

In the international transport service of passengers at the moment they operate: with Argentina 17 companies; Brazil 15; Bolivia 4; Peru 2; 3 Chile and Uruguay 1.
